Well I am at the Town Hall where I live, sitting at a desk, waiting for people to come in with questions about the census (how to fill out the form, to get a new form, get language help, etc...). Almost 3 hours have passed and only one person has come in, and I'm pretty sure she was here at town hall for another reason and just saw the sign and stopped by to ask a quick question. Haha... I'm sure it'll get a little busier as the weeks pass, but I don't expect it to be a busy job. So, here I am, updating my blog.

GOOD NEWS! I've been 100% good this weekend and lost a good amount of weight! I now weigh 231.8 pounds. So 18 days have now passed, and I'm down about 16 lbs. I'm getting closer to averaging 1 lb a day (which is the minimum I want to be losing).

I'm nervous for the maintenance phase, but excited at the same time. I'm nervous because last time I did the HCG diet, I lost 30 lbs and then gained 15 back in about 1-2 months because I DID NOT obey the rules of no starches and no sugars. In the next phase, those are the only things you "can't eat." There are other suggestions and guidelines, such as the fact that you should really pay attention to how much fills you and only eat when you're hungry. Also you have to eat at least 1500 calories.

I'm excited because I have more stamina and I'm more motivated to do this right, so I know I'll feel so good, being able to eat more foods again, but keeping the rules and maintaining my weight! I won't see that scale go up, because I am going to be obedient so I can reach my goal!

I'll begin the maintenance phase the first week of April. But the first time, I'm only going to do it for 1-2 weeks, and then I plan to start another round of 30 days on the HCG diet. After that, I'll see where I'm at. I may do a third round (after a 1-2 week maintenance phase). After I get down to my healthy weight and am in the average range of a healthy BMI, then I'll do the maintenance phase for 1-2 months. After that, I will slowly add starches and sugars back into my diet, watching what I eat and how it affects my body.

During this last phase I will decide/determine what foods I can eat to maintain my new weight. I know that I haven't truly achieved my goal until I maintain my new weight for 6 months to a year. That will show I've really set my actual base weight in stone.

I can't wait to do this.

I can't wait to (FOR THE FIRST TIME) see my adult self weighing 170 lbs, let alone fewer than 200! At the age of 16 or 17 is when I passed the 200 lbs mark, and I've never gotten under it since. But now, at the age of 24, I'll cure this obesity and finally be able to maintain a healthy weight. The feelings of freedom and energy, as well as excitement and happiness that come from being healthy and feeling more beautiful are already starting to consume me, and I've only just BEGUN this journey. :)
